Tap
Tap dancing is a powerful blend of movement and music, letting dancers become both the performer and the percussionist. It builds rhythm, coordination, and musicality in a uniquely fun and expressive way. Tap strengthens the body while sharpening the mind, because every step is both a physical move and a rhythmic choice. In classes, we work on exam exercises following the IDTA syllabus. We like to work on all areas (tap technique, musicality and performance). You too could be "Singing in the Rain".
Ballet
Ballet is very popular at the school. We do exam work towards the IDTA syllabus and work on technical skills. The classical style of expressive movement has something to offer for everyone, 3 years old and above can take this class. Children can start at Pre-School and take rosettes, then Preparatory up to Advanced 2 level. Ballet is the core of dance which enables you to perform better in other genres.
Musical Theatre & Acting
Musical Theatre is a vibrant form of performance that blends singing, spoken dialogue, acting, and dance to bring stories to life on stage. In class, pupils explore character work both on stage and “behind the camera,” developing acting skills that help them express a wide range of personalities and emotions. They also learn to sing as an ensemble, taking part in vocal warm-ups, tongue twisters, and musical theatre songs to build confidence and vocal technique. In addition, pupils gain valuable knowledge of studio and stage etiquette, theatre terminology, and script reading — essential skills as the school prepares for future performances.
Theatre Craft
Theatre Craft is the principals favourite genre of dance! Why? Because it's about acting through dance. It enables you to show your personality as well as your abilities. We do exam work towards the IDTA syllabus and work on styles and personality. Students would eventually dance in jazz shoes in the high grades and character shoes above grade 3. This class covers jazz and other styles from all over the world e.g waltz, tango, capoeira, baroque, rock n roll, show girl and more.
Modern
Modern Jazz and Contemporary dance are highly respected genres in the dance world, known for their powerful, expressive, and dynamic movement. In our training, we follow the IDTA syllabus, focusing on strength, elevation for jumps and leaps, control, and flexibility. Modern dance connects closely with ballet through its strong technical foundation, helping dancers develop precision, alignment, and discipline. Contemporary also encourages creativity, emotional expression, and individuality, allowing dancers to explore new ways of moving and storytelling. When assessed, examiners look closely at technique, musicality, performance quality, and how confidently dancers use their bodies to express the choreography
Acrobatics
Acrobatic Arts is an exciting fusion of dance and gymnastics that is rapidly growing in popularity across the dance world. Pupils develop impressive skills in flexibility, strength, limbering, and tumbling, working toward moves such as cartwheels, aerials, bridges, and walkovers. We also explore lift work and creative partner skills, encouraging teamwork, confidence, and expressive movement from every student.
Limber Stretch
Limber is an essential class for any aspiring dancer and a fantastic form of exercise for overall strength and mobility. In this class, we focus heavily on developing flexibility throughout the entire body, working safely and consistently toward goals such as front and side splits. Dancers take part in targeted exercises that improve range of motion, balance, and control, using tools such as therabands and blocks to enhance technique. We also offer an additional specialised session — The Elite Class. This class is designed for pupils who compete in competitions and focuses on advanced technique, stretching, strength work, and skill development to help them perform at their highest potential.
Uniform Etiquette & Hair
We provide our own dance uniform, which helps maintain a consistent and professional standard across all classes. Students are required to wear the appropiate uniform for their class, including the designated dance leotard and suitable dance shoes.
